Membership at Derby Rowing Club is open to all. A list of our membership types can be seen below.

As a member of our club, you will gain access to our professional land and water rowing equipment, access to the club bar and catering facilities.

We provide a comprehensive training programme delivered by friendly and experienced coaches who are passionate about rowing.
​
Our club has influenced a large number of people in extremely positive ways, creating lifelong friendships, improving fitness and with a positive environment that brings people together.
Active Rowing
Full membership with entitlement to all facilities and amenities of the
Club.
Junior - J15 to J18
As for Rowing Member, Junior Member will be defined the same as
British Rowing define ‘Junior’.
Cox
May cox boats. Is not entitles to row or use other equipment, unless
directed to by the Captain.
Vice President
The committee may invite members to become a Vice-President in
honour of their services to the Club or rowing in general. Vice-
Presidents who use the Clubs equipment should take membership at the appropriate level, for example, Rowing or Land.
Student
As for Rowing Member, provided they are in full time education.
Land
Is entitled to use the land training and social facilities but may not use
boats or other rowing equipment on the water.
Friend
A Friend of DRC is a club supporter who may attend social events,
access online activities, purchase club clothing and be provided with
the club newsletter. They are not entitled to row or use other
equipment or cox or coach.
Junior - J14 and Below
As for Rowing Member, Junior Member will be defined the same as
British Rowing define ‘Junior’.
Coach
May coach only. Is not entitled to row or use other equipment, unless
directed to by the Captain.
Volunteer
May be invited and approved by the committee to fulfil a
management role only. They are not entitled to row or use other
equipment or cox or coach.
